We are looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Durham, North Carolina. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory within the warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe management of our materials and products, playing a key part in our overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a valid reach truck certification, a strong safety record, and the ability to perform tasks involving lifting and maneuvering products in various warehouse environments. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve pallets and materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Perform daily inspections of the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Safely navigate warehouse aisles and storage areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by properly storing and locating items.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling and storage.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid certification and proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles is beneficial.
