We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location. This critical role ensures that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and compliantly. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying shipment contents, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation (bills of lading, manifests, etc.).
- Verify accuracy of orders against shipping documents before dispatch.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Package shipments appropriately to ensure safe transit.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Conduct daily audits of shipping activities for compliance.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external logistics partners.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is required.
- Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) as needed.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and carrier requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
