We are looking for a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying inventory against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting goods for damage, and stocking received items in their appropriate locations. This position is crucial to our Logistics operations, ensuring that our inventory is accurately accounted for and readily available. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is preferred. You will be expected to handle items that may require Lifting up to 50 lbs and adhere to all Safety regulations, including the use of PPE . Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Match received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding workplace Safety .
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and RF scanners is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE .
