We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that materials are transported safely and effectively to designated areas.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets, boxes, and other materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and staging orders.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures.
