Job Summary:
Our Madison, Wisconsin facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all machinery operates at peak performance. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, palletizers).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to address equipment-related issues.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement as needed.
  • Assist with occasional heavy lifting and material handling.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a related maintenance role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
