We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary goal will be to ensure the efficient and safe handling of goods within our warehouse facility. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be an integral part of our supply chain operations, contributing to the smooth flow of inventory from receiving to shipping. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all instructions regarding the handling of goods and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed, including lifting and moving items manually when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
