Key duties include preparing shipping labels and documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining organized shipping records. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role. We prioritize the safety of our employees, and all Shipping Clerks must adhere strictly to safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves regular Lifting of packages up to 40 pounds and requires the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments.
- Create shipping labels and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Liaise with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage logistics.
- Ensure the accuracy of shipped items against orders.
- Package items securely for transit.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Uphold all company safety standards and utilize required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Participate in inventory control activities as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Capability to handle moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and consistent use of PPE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and shipping software.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
