We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the incoming flow of goods into the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining organized receiving areas. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our supply chain and requires a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Sort, organize, and stage incoming products for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of wearing required PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
