Description Join our dynamic Information Systems Department as a Lead Applications and Data Architect. In this pivotal role, you will evaluate, design, and maintain essential architecture components within our application portfolio, ensuring the effective governance of our data environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop a strategic roadmap for the application and data portfolio, creating transition plans to guide the organization from current solutions to innovative future technologies. Coordinate the standardization of data across on-premise and cloud platforms to improve efficiency. Identify and resolve process inefficiencies, implementing improvements that enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness. Review application architecture and data integration options, providing recommendations to IS management for both on-premise and cloud solutions. Serve as Project Manager for major enterprise-wide applications and updates to existing systems, overseeing project plans, budgets, deadlines, and team performance. Lead testing efforts for software updates, managing testing environments and analyzing results. Create and maintain robust production environments for enterprise applications, ensuring specifications, software installations, and updates are effectively managed. Address Help Desk tickets related to enterprise applications, identifying trends and resolving issues as necessary. Stay informed on software patches and updates; recommend necessary changes based on release notes and issue resolutions. Network with vendors, peers, and industry associations to remain current with evolving technologies and standards. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain expertise with all enterprise applications through ongoing learning and vendor engagement. Support and mentor Applications Analysts, Administrators, and Engineers on the team. Perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES): Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred. Experience: Ten years of extensive experience managing enterprise applications, ideally in a law firm setting. Five years of experience with cloud data analytics platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong project management skills, capable of organizing and executing projects from start to finish. Understanding of enterprise system integrations, data movement (ETL/ELT), and data architecture (e.g., Snowflake, MS Fabric). Familiarity with data preparation tools (Azure Data Factory) and data visualization (PowerBI). Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure, server management, operating systems, and network communications. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on process improvement. Skilled at installing and maintaining enterprise applications along with custom integrations. Proficient in SQL server and SQL scripting. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Azure AD, Power BI, and Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 Enterprise certification is a plus. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position operates in a standard office setting, utilizing typical office equipment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sedentary work, with the ability to lift objects up to 10 pounds; primarily involves sitting, with occasional walking or standing. VISUAL ACUITY: Close visual acuity is required for data analysis and extensive reading. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This position's salary range applies across various major cities based on experience, education, and market demands, ranging from $140,000 to $175,000.
