The Risk Platform Team is dedicated to cultivating business growth through effective management of financial risks that affect both the business and its users. We develop scalable, customizable engineering systems to detect and prevent fraud, leveraging mechanisms for real-time, near-real-time, and scheduled workflows. As a frontline engineer on the Risk Platform team, you will collaborate closely with Platform teams (Payments, Finhub, Identity) and Product teams to deliver a seamless user experience. Your role will extend beyond front-end development to include partnerships with Analysts and Ops teams to identify new fraud patterns, as well as collaboration with the Machine Learning team to create and train models for fraud detection and prevention. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop the next generation of Risk Platform architecture at Coinbase. Articulate a long-term technical vision for scaling and maintaining our web and mobile platforms. Build user-friendly interfaces that are simple, efficient, and reliable using modern technologies such as React, React Native, Typescript, React Navigation, Jest, and Webpack. Translate our vision into actionable roadmaps, working closely with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership on a quarterly basis. Mentor team members on design practices and coding standards. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere in all interactions. Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing web applications and deploying user-facing features using JavaScript and modern component-based frameworks like React. Experience in delivering user-facing features using UI frameworks. Familiarity with front-end architecture best practices, emphasizing performance, security, and usability. Understanding of product and design lifecycles with experience collaborating effectively with designers, engineers, and product managers. Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code tailored to customer needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on front-end teams in finance or compliance sectors. A minimum of 1 year of experience in developing React Native mobile applications or transitioning existing native apps to React Native. Job #: P72777 Salary Information:
The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD.
