As a vital member of the Reliability Engineering team focusing on the Customer Experience Platform, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud services that enhance standardization and optimization for high availability and scalability. Your contributions will accelerate development velocity for agile teams by creating reusable architectures and services. This role will enable seamless integration of Contact Center technologies and Voice Bots, ultimately driving exceptional customer experiences. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance in Columbus, OH; Chicago, IL; Hartford, CT; or Charlotte, NC for three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Key Responsibilities Cloud Standardization & Architecture Drive the implementation of standardized cloud environments across the organization. Develop reusable architectures and services to enhance development processes for agile teams. Ensure applications align with best practices for fault tolerance, operational simplicity, and observability. Customer Experience and Contact Center Expertise Design and operationalize cloud solutions that effectively integrate Contact Center platforms and Voice Bot technologies. Serve as a subject matter expert on conversational AI and voice automation within customer engagement workflows. Provide advice on scalability and development opportunities to enhance customer experience capabilities. Cloud Compliance & Optimization Deliver tools and capabilities for cloud compliance, reporting metrics, and cost management. Translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions in line with enterprise architecture principles. DevSecOps & Agile Practices Utilize DevSecOps principles and Agile methodologies to create immutable infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Promote automation and programmable infrastructure for enterprise-scale deployments. Thought Leadership & Mentorship Act as a trusted expert on cloud and customer experience for associated business units. Stay informed about advancements in cloud and Contact Center technologies, presenting innovative opportunities. Mentor junior team members and influence technical decisions for the benefit of The Hartford's technology evolution. Collaboration Work closely with the Chief Technology Office, Enterprise Data Office, Claims, and Contact Center operations to deliver effective, outcome-driven solutions. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in AWS Cloud, CI/CD DevOps, and familiarity with IaC deployments. A minimum of 4 years in software development or data engineering roles. At least 2 years managing production workloads in cloud infrastructure. Experience with SDLC, Agile, and iterative deployment methodologies. Expertise in Contact Center technologies such as Genesys, NICE, or Amazon Connect, along with Voice Bots and Conversational AI. Strong communication skills to influence at all organizational levels. Ability to thrive independently in a lean, agile, and fast-paced environment. Understanding of Serverless, Container technologies, and cloud observability practices. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large-scale application and business process cloud transformations. Familiarity with cross-account code promotion best practices. Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM and regulatory compliance. Practical application of DevSecOps and Agile methodologies. Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with Voice Bot frameworks, NLP engines, and their integration with Contact Center platforms. Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The annualized base pay range is based on an analysis of similar roles in the market. Actual pay may vary widely depending on factors like performance and demonstration of competencies.
