Continued growth has created the need for a confident mechanical engineering leader to take ownership of the design function and contribute at senior level. The Opportunity As Design Engineering Manager, youll lead the mechanical design team while driving best practice, capability development, and technical excellence. The successful Design Engineering Manager will act as a key link between design, manufacturing, and commercial teams to ensure projects move smoothly from concept through to production. Key responsibilities include: Leading and developing the mechanical design engineering team Driving best practice in 3D CAD modelling and technical standards Overseeing complex assembly design from concept to manufacture Collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams Contributing to strategic decisions as part of the Senior Management Team Building structure, succession, and long-term capability within design What Were Looking For The ideal Design Engineering Manager brings strong technical credibility combined with leadership capability. Youll ideally have: A solid background in Mechanical Engineering Experience with 3D CAD / modelling tools Proven team leadership or supervisory experience The ability to mentor and develop engineers Experience designing complex engineered products or assemblies Commercial awareness and senior-level perspective You may already be a Design Engineering Manager, or a senior/principal engineer ready to step into a leadership role.
