Here, you will gain hands-on experience with hardware-software integration and low-level networking technologies that are crucial to Cisco's products. Your Impact We seek a motivated engineer who excels in low-level programming, networking protocols, and hardware-software integration. With strong communication skills, you solve complex challenges with innovation and precision. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining critical software and tools that guarantee hardware compatibility, optimize network performance, and ensure security for Cisco's core products such as operating systems and networking stacks. By efficiently managing your time and streamlining processes, you will contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that enhance resilience and efficiency in global communications infrastructure, reinforcing Cisco's leadership in advanced networking technologies. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Proficiency in C programming and experience with embedded Linux, demonstrating a solid understanding of operating system fundamentals.
Familiarity with networking principles and concepts, including routing protocols.
Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (such as Python or Bash), alongside knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Understanding of DevSecOps practices and their application in software development workflows.
Preferred Qualifications: Conceptual understanding or hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security protocols.
Experience with FPGA development is a plus.
Understanding of signal and power integrity, and PCB design.
