About the Role The Senior Technical Leader is a hybrid role combining people leadership with advanced technical expertise. You will guide 1-2 engineering teams in delivering high-quality software while maintaining hands-on involvement in system design, coding, debugging, and architectural decision-making. In this role, you will: Set a clear technical direction for your teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Drive exceptional software delivery through active participation in system design and coding (20-40% of your time). Write production-ready code, conduct thorough code reviews, and assist with critical debugging. Make architectural choices that balance rapid execution with long-term system stability. Lead collaborative design sessions and ensure that systems are both scalable and maintainable. Take ownership of end-to-end delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes are predictable and achievable. Work closely with product managers on planning, prioritization, scope shaping, and aligning roadmaps. Break down complex tasks into manageable increments. Mentor and cultivate engineering talent, facilitating their professional growth. Promote healthy engineering practices and agile methodologies. Collaborate across Product, Design, Architecture, QA, Security, and Platform teams. Monitor team performance, eliminate obstacles, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Education, Experience & Certifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of software engineering experience with proven leadership in technical teams. Strong background in system design, architecture, and hands-on coding abilities. Experience mentoring and developing engineers. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills. A history of successfully delivering complex technical projects from start to finish. Functional Skills Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks. Expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems. Adept at debugging and troubleshooting intricate issues. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience with agile and iterative development methodologies. Effective stakeholder management and collaboration abilities.
