The Vehicle Mechatronics Embedded Controls (VMEC) organization invites you to apply for an Embedded Software Developer position focused on the Body domain. This area includes vital vehicle systems and components responsible for managing vehicle motion, occupant protection, comfort, vision, visibility, and vehicle access. Your Role: Collaborate closely with Software Architects to execute the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) requirements and designs. Work within an agile-scrum team to design and implement embedded software for the Body domain using C. Develop software interfaces to integrate new components while enhancing existing software capabilities. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues, contributing to the growth of the team’s knowledge base. Manage software components in GIT repositories, ensuring appropriate retention strategies between controls and software teams. Create and execute comprehensive test cases to validate software at unit, component, and integrated levels. Your Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of embedded software development experience. Strong proficiency in writing and debugging C code. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a geographically diverse team. Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and pursue goals independently. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AUTOSAR framework design using Vector and Automotive Ethernet. Familiarity with GM or other automotive software standards and testing procedures. Knowledge of software configuration management tools, particularly in the Git Ecosystem. Experience with software development and testing in SIL/HIL or other virtual environments. Background in Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies. Hands-on experience in domains related to occupant protection, vision and visibility, and vehicle access. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence at least three times per week at our Mountain View, California location. Relocation benefits are not available, and any moving costs will be the responsibility of the successful candidate. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $158,000 - $241,900. Compensation will be based on relevant factors. You will also have the opportunity to participate in an incentive pay program tied to company and individual performance.
