Description
Job Summary:
The IT Systems Administrator supports and maintain a hybrid IT environment including on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft 365. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, supporting both systems operations and end-user needs in a collaborative team environment. The Systems Administrator works under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager and supports ongoing operations, clinic expansions, and acquisition-related initiatives. This role requires solid technical fundamentals, good judgment, and the ability to work independently within established standards and processes. This position is part of a collaborative IT team where working helpdesk tickets is a core responsibility. Team members regularly support end users and interact directly with internal staff, clinic personnel, and vendors as part of normal operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator provides guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight, ensure tasks are completed accurately, and assist in troubleshooting complex issues. They help enforce IT policies, maintain accountability, and support the professional development of team members.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Systems & Identity Support
Administer and support Active Directory (on-premises) and Azure / Entra ID environments Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive Perform routine user lifecycle tasks, permissions management, and troubleshooting Execute production changes with approval and guidance from senior staff Infrastructure & Virtualization
Support virtual servers in on-premises and Azure environments Assist with provisioning, configuration, patching, and monitoring of systems Troubleshoot server and infrastructure-related issues escalated from helpdesk Network & Clinic Support
Assist with deployment and support of network infrastructure at clinic locations Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting on network equipment (e.g., Ubiquiti) Escalate complex network issues appropriately while continuing to build proficiency Acquisitions & Integrations
Participate in technical discovery for acquired companies under guidance Document infrastructure, applications, identity, and network components Assist with execution of migration and integration tasks as assigned Identify risks, unknowns, and dependencies and communicate them clearly Security & Operations Follow established security policies and controls Work with endpoint security, monitoring, and awareness tools Understand and respect the importance of cybersecurity practices in daily operations Collaboration & Professionalism
Share knowledge and documentation with the team Assist teammates as needed; contribute to a collaborative, non-siloed environment Communicate clearly and professionally with users and stakeholders Adapt to shifting priorities and raise concerns when workload conflicts arise Required Skills / Abilities:
Understanding of security best practices and data protection Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Education and Experience:
Experience supporting: Active Directory (on-prem) Azure / Entra ID Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive) Experience with Windows server administration and virtualization Foundational networking knowledge (routing, switching, VLAN concepts) Work Model & Travel

Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, fax machines). Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity is required to perform tasks involving computer screens and paper documents. Ability to move around the office to access files, office machinery, and other equipment.
