Content Platforms & Operations team
plays a crucial role in developing and advancing the technical functions behind the global distribution and monetization of Disney's channels and films, including media supply chain management and distribution operations. Our global team partners with Product & Technology and regional business teams across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. The
Content Enhancements team
focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems that enhance broadcasts for various sporting events. We are looking for a motivated and skilled engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting to contribute to impactful broadcast technology. As a
Senior Software Engineer , you will join an innovative organization dedicated to building and maintaining complex, high-performance applications that support our suite of broadcast automation tools. You will work closely with production, creative, and operations teams to deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions that improve our core platform architecture. Your responsibilities will involve modern server-side and front-end technologies, including JavaScript, Node.js, and React, along with your expertise in C#, SQL, HTML, and CSS to create seamless and engaging user experiences. We are seeking candidates who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and have a passion for exploring new technologies and frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software systems for live broadcast content automation.
Collaborate with diverse teams from engineering, design, production, and operations to deliver efficient and reliable solutions.
Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to defining long-term technical strategies.
Balance development speed with maintainability and quality through lean, iterative practices.
Mentor team members, providing expertise and conducting code reviews.
Continuously learn about and share new tools and methodologies to boost team efficiency and creativity.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical or software development role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of object-oriented software design principles.
Demonstrated experience with MySQL database design, development, and management.
Proficient in C# and/or VB programming languages.
Experience with integrating and consuming RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
A collaborative spirit and the ability to work well with engineering, operations, production, and creative teams.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
