Role Overview: As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that powers our trading systems. Your primary focus will be on optimizing multicast networks, automating network processes, and ensuring ultra-low latency and high reliability. You will collaborate closely with our trading, systems, and software development teams to enhance the overall performance of our trading platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Optimization: Architect and optimize multicast networks to support high-frequency trading applications with minimal latency. Automation: Develop, deploy, and maintain network automation tools to streamline network configuration, monitoring, and performance analysis. Latency Reduction: Identify and mitigate potential sources of network latency; continuously optimize infrastructure to meet low-latency trading requirements. Network Monitoring: Implement advanced monitoring solutions to track network performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time, ensuring high availability and reliability. Collaboration: Work closely with trading, development, and infrastructure teams to understand business requirements and align network infrastructure to meet performance and scalability needs. Security: Ensure robust network security to protect proprietary trading strategies and systems. Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex network issues, particularly related to multicast traffic and performance bottlenecks. Vendor Management: Liaise with network hardware and software vendors to ensure optimal solutions and upgrades for high-performance trading environments.
