Job Title: IT Project Manager Job Type: Contract Job Duration: 6 months Job Location: Atlanta, GA Workplace Type: Hybrid (4 days on-site; 1 days remote)
Seeking an experienced Project Manager with significant practical experience of managing large scale software development project with multiple interdependencies. Day to day responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following
Proactively manage team activities to successfully develop, test and implement solution fostering best practice approach and providing coaching as required Managing stakeholder expectations across Business and IT, ensuring that relevant information is provided to keep all parties informed Coordinate meetings with BU and IT teams, including Requirements workshops, Design Meetings and Scrum Ceremonies etc. Work with Product Management and other team leads to ensure that requirements are clearly defined and prioritized in the backlog including estimates and dependencies Provide support to Senior Project Manager as required, ensuring that deliverables are clearly defined, understood, and successfully executed by project team Coordinate Change Management activities ensuring smooth transition from current to new processes and systems Facilitate discussions with team members as required ensuring that roadblocks/impediments are followed through to resolution Coordinate scrum team and facilitate ceremonies ensuring adherence to agreed standards and procedures Gather information and metrics for weekly status updates and executive reports Update and maintain project documents including Project Plan, Comms plan, RAID Log, etc. Provide support with other project activities as required e.g. recruitment, onboarding, time log and tracking, invoicing etc. Manage team level risks and issues effectively and escalate promptly as required Coordinate business change activities necessary for preparation and transition to live Any other responsibilities required in role
Must Haves
Planning and coordination skills Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or related subject Minimum 7years' experience in successfully managing projects using waterfall and agile framework in related industry Sound knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall Experience of managing business and IT related changes in pre/postproduction Managing and coordinating cross-functional teams proactively Certifications - PMP (essential), Scrum Master (optional), SAFe (optional) Experience of managing IT/Data related projects Knowledge of IT tools and techniques Main tools - MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, MS Tools
