About the Staking Platform Our primary goal is to create platform services that empower high-quality staking products for both our retail and institutional clients. This allows users not only to buy/sell cryptocurrencies but also to earn dividends, while simultaneously enhancing security and decentralization across blockchain networks. This initiative represents our third largest revenue stream at Coinbase, generating over $700M annually - and it is the second revenue stream not reliant on market fluctuations. The Coinbase Staking Data Team plays a pivotal role by developing and maintaining reliable blockchain data pipelines and APIs that support our staking products. The team ensures staking data accuracy and scalability, integrates new blockchain assets, and assists in developing APY enhancement technologies. Tackling complex technical challenges, the team delivers seamless staking experiences for both retail and institutional users, fostering the growth of decentralized finance. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with various teams to integrate our services effectively. Engage in code reviews providing constructive feedback to uphold high coding standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems. What We're Looking For: 5+ years of experience in software engineering. Familiarity with GoLang and/or Ruby is beneficial. Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services in a service-oriented architecture. Background in decomposing large software systems is a plus. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, enabling you to collaborate with other members and stakeholders effectively. Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs. A keen attention to detail. A passion for creating an open financial system that unites people globally. Desirable Qualifications: A background in cryptocurrency. Experience with Solana data, indexing, and scaling extensive systems. A crypto-forward approach, including familiarity with onchain activities such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain services. Pay Transparency Notice : The target annual base salary for this role is between $186,065 and $218,900 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also come with bonus eligibility, equity options, and various benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
