Position Summary
UST Global® is seeking a highly experienced
Google Cloud Application Architect
to lead complex enterprise application migrations from legacy/on-prem platforms to
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, modernization strategies, API-led connectivity, DevOps automation, and customer-facing technical leadership. This role is hands-on, strategic, and highly visible, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with C-level executives, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a
Subject Matter Expert (SME)
on GCP services, architecture patterns, and enterprise migration strategies. Design, develop, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions aligned with GCP's Well-Architected Framework. Lead
end-to-end migration
from legacy platforms (on-prem, AS400, traditional systems) to GCP-covering assessment, design, re-platforming, and modernization. rchitect cloud-native and hybrid solutions using:
pigee API Management Cloud Run, GKE, Compute Engine Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL GCP Operations Suite (logging, monitoring, incident response) VPC Networking & Cloud Interconnect
Build modernization roadmaps using
Java and C# , incorporating microservices, API-first design, and distributed system patterns. Design and govern
CI/CD pipelines
using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, and Artifact Registry. Present architecture solutions to executives, business teams, and engineering leaders. Develop technical content: architecture documents, solution diagrams, whitepapers, and training materials. Provide enablement to internal teams (Solution Architects, Engineering, Product, BDMs). Ensure GCP deployments meet
security, compliance, reliability, and cost optimization
standards. Manage multiple technical engagements with shifting priorities and timelines. Document architecture standards, migration strategies, and deployment runbooks. Project Focus Areas
Legacy application migration to
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) pplication re-architecture using
Java, C#, microservices, containers PI-led modernization using
pigee CI/CD automation
with GitHub & Cloud Build Cloud-native deployments on
Cloud Run & GKE Enterprise-grade
security, observability, and reliability
using GCP Operations Suite Required Qualifications
15+ years
of overall IT experience with strong enterprise architecture background. Proven experience migrating or transforming
legacy enterprise applications to GCP . 4+ years
in application architecture (cloud computing, software development, distributed systems). 2+ years
hands-on with GCP as the primary cloud platform. 2+ years
in customer-facing technical roles (executive & engineering audiences). Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Google Professional Cloud Architect certification - mandatory. Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures. Must-Have Skills
Deep expertise in
GCP architecture & migration Strong coding proficiency in
Java and C# Hands-on GitHub experience (branching, pull requests, collaboration workflows) Mastery of
pigee API Management CI/CD & DevOps automation: GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry Container-based deployment:
GKE, Cloud Run Strong understanding of IAM, KMS, load balancing, enterprise networking, VPC, Cloud Interconnect
