About the Team Our data team is crucial to fostering trust with users, partners, and stakeholders. It serves as the backbone of decision-making within the organization. Your Opportunity Act as a trusted business advisor for the growth team, providing insights that influence decision-making and understanding the business inside and out. Design dashboards, metrics, and reports to transform data into actionable insights for the growth team, cross-functional partners, and leadership. Analyze large, complex datasets to create scalable data models for reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, scientists, engineers, and product teams to develop data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and contemporary ETL frameworks. Automate the reporting of key performance indicators across various Kraken products. Develop high-quality code for data pipelines and dashboards while applying best practices in software engineering. Deliver insights through compelling, data-driven storytelling that guides our growth direction. Skills You Should Bring A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and management within the financial services sector, particularly in trading products (both traditional finance and crypto), preferably in fast-paced companies. Hands-on experience using dbt (data build tool) to organize and model marketing, product, or performance data. Experience supporting marketing growth teams with knowledge of business KPIs such as New Trading Users (NTUs) and other performance metrics. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python libraries like pandas, matplotlib, and plotly. Experience in setting up and managing data pipelines with a solid understanding of data workflow orchestration. Capability to create intuitive dashboards and visualizations that convey complex insights effectively. Strong communication skills to articulate complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. A degree in a field emphasizing analytical rigor, such as software engineering, economics, or a hard science. A genuine belief in the cypherpunk and libertarian values outlined in Kraken’s principles. Fluent in English. Desirable Qualities A deep interest in enhancing user experiences through improved product analytics and experimentation. A passion for continuous learning and a willingness to approach challenges with a beginner's mindset. A solid understanding of the cryptocurrency market and financial principles.
