Are you ready to push the boundaries of your capabilities? At Coinbase, our mission is to enhance economic freedom worldwide. This ambitious goal requires us to bring our best selves to work every day as we build the emerging on-chain platform, paving the way for the future global financial system. We are on the lookout for a unique individual who is deeply passionate about our mission and the transformative power of crypto and blockchain technology in reshaping finance. We seek someone eager to make a significant impact, thrives under pressure, values constructive feedback for personal growth, and embraces tackling the company’s most challenging problems head-on. Our work environment is demanding and may not suit everyone. However, for those who aspire to construct the future alongside exceptionally talented peers, this is the place to be. Although many positions at Coinbase are remote-first, we emphasize that in-person participation is essential throughout the year. We hold team and company-wide offsites several times each year to enhance collaboration and connection, and attendance is both expected and supported. The Developer Experience (DevX) team is dedicated to ensuring all engineers at Coinbase can build high-quality products while remaining productive and engaged. We provide infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tooling that streamline the development process for our engineers. Within DevX, we are structured into specialized pods, with the CI pod responsible for building and managing advanced version control and continuous integration infrastructure. We oversee one of the largest Kubernetes clusters at Coinbase and have developed a custom controller for efficient workload management. Currently, we are making significant strides to migrate our source code into the cloud. What you'll be doing: Develop, enhance, and maintain backend productivity infrastructure services and systems.
Create scalable, fault-tolerant solutions for innovative challenges using modern cloud technologies and best practices.
Collaborate with engineers and leadership to transform our product and technical vision into a concrete roadmap every quarter.
Deliver exceptional support to our internal engineering teams.
What we hope to find in you: 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
Proven experience in designing, constructing, scaling, and maintaining large-scale, high-throughput infrastructure.
Ability to produce high-quality, well-tested code that addresses customer needs.
Strong problem-solving skills with the aptitude to diagnose issues, understand their root causes, and guide them to resolution.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Golang, Ruby, and AWS.
Background in building and operating GitHub/GitHub Actions.
