Responsibilities Responsiblefor test design for a network solution incorporating virtualization, network management tools, and hardwarecomponents Responsiblefor technical review of features for feasibility and design Effectivelycommunicates or reinforces messages consistent with management direction Servesas a technical partner/consultant to managers Analyzesmetrics for quality trends before and after releases Advocatestest planning that includes appropriate performance assessment toensure/improve product scalability Reviewsunit and acceptance tests and makes recommendations for improvement Reviewsproject plans and schedules for technical dependencies, risk areas, etc.Assists in scoping optimization exercises. Develops master test plan + strategy for complex projects Researchesand proposes solutions to improve test quality Drivesdevelopment efforts toward incorporating testability into product Anticipatesroadblocks and shortcomings and solves them proactively Providesauthoritative technical leadership within a program Responsiblefor driving solution/end-to-end test efforts Developstools or processes to increase productivity Providesguidance to contributors of all technical roles and levels Appliesknowledge of customer perspective to improve product quality Designscomplex test environments that can accommodate both QA test needs and customeruse case testing Provides technical leadership for systemlevel tests ( eg. performance, scalability, reliability, securityeffectiveness) Abilityto provide technical leadership at the cross-functional level. Setsand upholds quality standards for a product or technology Hasadvanced debugging and issue analysis skills. Effective with customerescalations. Abilityto provide code review or white box testing Qualifications
Excellentinter-personal skills. Enjoys a team environment. Extremelydetail-oriented and hands-on. Solidunderstanding of networking protocols. Passionateabout quality and customer experience. Softwareengineering or field engineering experience. Understands Product Life Cycle andSoftware Development Life Cycle. Experiencein software Quality Assurance. Enjoysworking with a team. Opticalnetworking background preferred. StrongUNIX/Linux background preferred. Networkcertifications preferred. BSin Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
