Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and entering data into our inventory management system. Maintaining an organized and safe receiving area is paramount. This position requires diligence, accuracy, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure a seamless flow of inventory. We emphasize safety, and all employees are required to follow strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be comfortable with manual tasks including moderate Lifting, and have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
  • Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies, reporting issues promptly.
  • Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
  • Tag and label incoming inventory appropriately.
  • Organize and maintain the receiving area, ensuring it is clean and safe.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper Lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
  • Support overall warehouse logistics and operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
  • Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
