We are hiring a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk for our warehouse facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments. This position is fundamental to our inventory management and logistics operations, ensuring that all goods are accounted for and correctly stored. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain accurate records and uphold our high standards of efficiency and Safety. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
- Must be capable of some manual Lifting and moving of packages.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of workplace Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
