We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring timely loading, unloading, and internal transport of goods. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain organized storage of inventory and ensure proper handling of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear required PPE at all times while operating machinery and working in the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the logistics team to optimize workflow.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant Lifting of materials, often in excess of 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and general logistics principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
