We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our facility in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials to various departments. Your work directly impacts our logistics pipeline, ensuring that production and shipping departments have the supplies they need. You'll be working with a variety of equipment and materials, so a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Distribute materials to appropriate departments or workstations.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure proper organization and placement of materials within the warehouse.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Use designated PPE at all times, especially when handling specific materials.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Must be capable of consistent Lifting and moving of items up to 50 lbs.
- Support the overall logistics of the warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and logistics.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including manual Lifting.
- Understanding of Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work accurately.
