We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our New York City, New York facility. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, receiving and dispatching goods, and ensuring efficient inventory management. This position is vital to our **Logistics** operations and requires a strong commitment to **Safety**. You will be trained on and expected to use all required **PPE**. The ideal candidate is physically capable of **Lifting** up to 60 pounds and possesses a valid forklift operator certification. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas and production lines.
- Assist with inventory counts and organization.
- Ensure all materials are properly stored and labeled.
- Follow all **Safety** procedures and regulations, including the use of **PPE**.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support **Logistics** team with material movement as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Ability to **Lifting** and move heavy objects up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of **PPE** and warehouse **Safety** best practices.
- Understanding of **Logistics** and inventory control systems is a plus.
