We are hiring Picker/Packers to join our busy logistics hub in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential for ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment. Key aspects of this role include maintaining high levels of accuracy, working at a consistent pace, and upholding our stringent safety standards. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your contributions directly impact customer satisfaction. A commitment to following all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve requested items from warehouse locations using pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipping, ensuring protection against damage during transit.
- Verify order details against picked items to guarantee accuracy.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Keep the workstation clean and organized, contributing to overall warehouse safety and efficiency.
- Follow all company logistics and safety protocols, including correct lifting techniques and mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or picking/packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
