Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Material Handler to join our warehouse operations in Washington, D.C. In this vital role, you will ensure the efficient movement, storage, and organization of goods within our logistics facility. You will operate various types of material handling equipment and be responsible for receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. A strong focus on safety, adherence to protocols, and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are critical components of this position. We seek individuals who are reliable, possess excellent physical stamina, and have a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory.
  • Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical aids.
  • Store materials in appropriate locations within the warehouse, ensuring optimal space utilization.
  • Pick and stage materials for outgoing orders and production lines.
  • Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance checks on material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with all logistics and safety regulations.
  • Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler, preferably with forklift certification.
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds repeatedly.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
