Join our team as a Warehouse Associate in the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon! This role is crucial for managing the flow of goods within our facility, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all warehouse activities. You will be involved in various tasks such as receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment is a top priority, and strict adherence to all safety guidelines is expected. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our sophisticated logistics network. You will handle diverse inventory and will need to demonstrate careful handling practices. Ensuring all required PPE is used correctly is paramount. This position requires physical capability, including significant lifting and moving of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming goods.
- Put away inventory accurately and efficiently.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring correct labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse space.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all established safety procedures and regulations.
- Properly use all designated PPE .
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a secure and safe work area.
- Willingness to adhere to all PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
