We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. You will be responsible for operating various warehouse equipment, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and collaborating with team members to meet daily operational goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse operations and a good understanding of logistics principles. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the use of appropriate PPE.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends and overtime as needed.
