Join our bustling logistics operation in Atlanta, Georgia, as a Forklift Operator. We are seeking a dependable and experienced individual to operate forklifts and contribute to the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is vital for maintaining inventory flow, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring safe material handling. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and assisting with various warehouse duties. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, possesses a current forklift certification, and has a solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Load and unload trailers and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport goods to and from different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating systems.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, and shipping when required.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report any operational issues or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to safety and proficiency in using required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
