We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting customer orders from warehouse shelves for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing distribution center and contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will work closely with other warehouse staff, including supervisors and fellow pickers, to meet daily fulfillment targets. Regular training on best practices and safety procedures will be provided. This role involves navigating the warehouse, using scanning equipment, and ensuring orders are prepared for the next stage of the shipping process. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for all our employees. Compliance with all warehouse safety regulations and proper use of required PPE is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and update order statuses.
- Ensure picked items are in good condition and properly packaged for transport.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order fulfillment.
- Meet or exceed established picking quotas and quality standards.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving significant Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets and product labels.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable with manual labor and Lifting throughout the shift.
