We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse operations in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining our high standards of service in the fast-paced logistics industry. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure that orders are picked, verified, and staged correctly for timely dispatch.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick products from designated warehouse areas using pick lists or scanners.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are selected for each order.
- Stage completed orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain an organized and tidy work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other relevant equipment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock verification.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervision.
- Capable of frequent Lifting of products, potentially up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable with Lifting objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Must be reliable and able to work assigned shifts.
