We are hiring a dedicated Shipping Clerk for our facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for dispatch. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting the appropriate packaging materials, accurately labeling shipments, and coordinating with carriers for pick-ups. You will also be responsible for maintaining shipping records and ensuring that all shipments comply with company and carrier regulations. A keen eye for detail and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role. This position operates within a busy **Logistics** environment, requiring you to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. **Safety** is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols and the consistent use of **PPE** are mandatory. The role involves regular **Lifting** of packages and materials, up to 50 pounds, and requires the ability to stand and move for extended periods. - Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling.
- Verify shipping information and quantities against orders.
- Operate shipping software and create shipping labels.
- Schedule and coordinate carrier pick-ups.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Ensure all shipments meet packaging and labeling requirements.
- Adhere to all **Safety** procedures and wear **PPE**.
- Assist with inventory and **Logistics** support as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous shipping or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including shipping software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of **Logistics** operations and warehouse **Safety**.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
