We are seeking skilled individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and ensuring proper storage of goods. A deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the diligent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are non-negotiable. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, demonstrate excellent maneuverability, and have the physical capability for tasks involving frequent Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks, trailers, and railcars.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and company-related articles within or near the facility.
- Stack and unstack materials using forklifts.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure safe operation.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all Lifting guidelines and best practices to prevent injury.
- Contribute to the seamless flow of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and maneuverability skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience in a fast-paced logistics environment is a significant plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
