We are seeking an experienced Distribution Center Associate for our Richmond, Virginia location. This role is critical to the efficient operation of our distribution network, involving a wide range of responsibilities from receiving to shipping. You will handle products, maintain inventory accuracy, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment. A thorough understanding of logistics principles and a commitment to upholding safety standards, including the correct use of PPE, are essential. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital part of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments.
- Sort, stock, and organize inventory within the distribution center.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment to customers.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification may be required).
- Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counting activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily performance targets and support overall logistics goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is highly desirable. Must be able to perform tasks involving significant lifting (up to 60 lbs) and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting are necessary. A demonstrated commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE is required. Must be 18 years or older.
