Join our expanding team as a Distribution Center Associate in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is key to our efficient supply chain and involves a variety of tasks critical to the movement of goods. You will be responsible for receiving, processing, and preparing products for distribution. This role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. A thorough understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial. Ensuring the correct use of PPE and adhering to safety regulations are non-negotiable aspects of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Sort, label, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment to various destinations.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) if certified and trained.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and cycle counting.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including staging and loading trucks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring minimal damage.
Qualifications:
Experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is highly desirable. Must be comfortable with frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are necessary. Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management is a plus. Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE is essential. Must be 18 years or older.
