Join our thriving logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee as a Material Handler! In this essential role, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to various departments, and ensuring that materials are readily accessible for production and shipping. Safety is a paramount concern, and you will be expected to strictly follow all safety procedures and utilize the appropriate PPE. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient and accurate material flow within our facility. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other conveyances.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Organize and stack materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 60 pounds repeatedly.
- Proficiency in using manual material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workspace and adhering to safety protocols, including wearing required PPE.
