We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics facility in San Jose, California. This role is critical for maintaining the smooth flow of inventory and ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, store, and retrieve goods, as well as loading and unloading trucks. A strong emphasis will be placed on operating equipment safely and maintaining the integrity of the products being handled. This position requires a deep understanding of warehouse operations and a proactive approach to safety. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and expect strict adherence to all company and OSHA safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess excellent spatial awareness, and have a proven track record of safe forklift operation. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations as needed.
- Ensure warehouse aisles and work areas are kept clear and organized.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
