Join our team!! CCCS is currently looking for a Behavioral Coordinator at our Gallatin County Re Entry Program.
*Essential Functions: *
1. Reviews and Implements Gallatin County Re-Entry Program security and control policies and procedures including but not limited to the following: intake processing; out processing; resident control and supervision; use of force; contraband control; inventory control; personal and physical plant searches; key, tool, and equipment control; and facility and vehicle inspections.
2. Reviews and Implements GCRP Breathalyzer and urinalysis polices and procedures including administration and collection.
3. Provides resident transportation.
4. Supervises resident recreation and community service activities.
5. Reviews and Implements GCRP safety and emergency policies and procedures including, but not limited to the following: fire safety, flammable, toxic, and caustic materials, emergency plans, evacuation drills, and threats to security.
6. Reviews and Implements GCRP health care policies and procedures including, but not limited to the management, distribution, and record audits of resident pharmaceuticals.
7. Assists with resident program orientation and special needs.
8. Assists residents as necessary with GCRP paperwork and forms.
9. Assists residents as necessary activities, etc. relating to GCRP correctional programming.
10. Maintains resident casebooks including filing, auditing, and reviewing as directed by administrative and supervisory staff.
11. Attends staff and program meetings as required by supervisory staff and CCCS, Inc. corporate policies and procedures.
12. Assists caseworker, administrative, and supervisory staff as directed.
13. Performs maintenance and repair functions as directed by the Program Administrator.
14. Provides supervision and direction to Behavioral Technicians and Behavioral Supervisors.
15. Performs employee evaluations for assigned Behavioral t Supervisors as required by CCCS, Inc. corporate policies and procedures.
16. Ensures Behavioral Supervisors perform necessary supervisory and program-related responsibilities.
17. In conjunction with Program Administrator, develops Behavioral Technician schedule so as to maximum staff efficiency and staff to resident ratios.
18. Monitors all work and tasks completed during shift to ensure completeness and accuracy.
19. Delegates work to Behavioral Supervisors as necessary and Provides follow-up as required.
20. Makes reports to appropriate supervisory and administrative personnel as required.
21. Serves as a member of the CCCS, Inc. corporate management team.
22. Demonstrates knowledge & responsibility in performance of duties as prescribed by facility procedures.
*Other Job Functions:*
1. Performs all other duties as assigned.
*Required Annual Training:*
Employees new to CCCS, Inc. are required to complete at least forty (40) hours of training relevant to their position during the first year of employment.
The Behavioral Coordinator is required to complete at least forty (40) hours of training during each year of employment. A minimum of thirty (30) hours must include training specific to the employment assignment.
Additional training may be required for disciplinary, emergency, or program-need reasons as determined by the Program Administrator of the GCRP.
*Working Conditions:*
Approximately 70% of work is spent inside in a climate-controlled environment with background noise. Approximately 30% of work is spent outside, in vehicles, or in other buildings, etc. Local and statewide travel is required.
The Behavioral Coordinator works five (5), eight (8)-hour shifts per week. Shifts include afternoons, evenings, and graveyard. Weekend work is required.
*Material and Equipment Used:*
Telephone; fax machine; general office supplies; motorized vehicles; Breathalyzer, and tools
*Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:*
Approximately 80% of time is spent standing or moving around working areas and outside locations. Balance of time (approx. 20%) is spent seated.
: Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary with the public, contacts, and co-workers.
Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary for driving purposes.
Good manual dexterity for possible detention of individuals, computer keyboard use and the ability to retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:*
1. Good written and oral communication skills.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Ability to work with contacts, the public, co-workers professionally and tactfully.
4. Professional and businesslike in appearance and demeanor.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
1. Bachelors degree in an appropriate or related field.
OR
High school graduate with a minimum of two- (2) year’s experience in the
corrections field.
2. Certified in Basic First Aid and CPR *or *certifiable within one (1) year.
3. Valid Drivers’ license.
4. At least two- (2) year’s experience in a supervisory position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
