We are looking to bring a Senior Business Analyst (Individual) onto our Individual Project Management team. The Senior Business Analyst (Individual) plays a key role in contributing to the on time and on budget success of various projects by accurately capturing the requirements and scope. This role typically works on smaller initiatives and/or works with a more Senior BA on mid-sized initiatives.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
 What you will be doing:
Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs
Working with Customer Advisor Experience Team, the Product Owner(s) and consulting with stakeholders and SMEs, document current business processes and develop and document new processes
Recommend business solutions that satisfy client, advisor, sponsor, and or stakeholder needs
Create/document product backlog items detailing the initiative requirements, identifying the objectives and key results, and breaking down the tasks pertaining to the Epic
From a Production Support perspective, identify, track, escalate and assist with the resolution of production issues
Gain and in-depth knowledge of the value stream you are working in, in support of understanding and contributing to the development and implementation of initiatives being worked on in the team.
Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures
Support User Acceptance Testing by supporting planning, development of test cases and execution of tests
What you will bring:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of Business Analysis experience
Good knowledge of life insurance (products and processes)
Strong organization skills and well-developed project management skills
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with ability to develop and deliver presentations
Good conceptual skills and ability to exercise flexibility and judgement in a changing environment    
Good knowledge and understanding of analysis and productivity improvement methodologies
Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
FLMI designation preferred
Knowledge of and or previous experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies is an asset
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Superior documentation and presentation skills
Strong motivational and communication skills
Adaptable to change
Self-management and time management skill
