Please note:  This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

• Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or
• If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

Are you pursuing your Master of Real Estate and Infrastructure (MREI) program or Master of Business Administration (MBA) and are 1 - 2 years away from graduation? Are you interested in an opportunity to explore our Commercial Banking environment and possibly work your way into a full-time role in Personal and Commercial Banking at graduation?

RBC's Real Estate Markets team offers an unique student internship program that will allow a successful student to gain insight into Commercial Banking and Commercial Relationship Management by managing financing needs for some of RBC's most highly valued commercial real estate clients.

RBC's Real Estate Markets team manages relationships, including lending requirements and day-to-day banking needs, for some of Canada's largest private real estate companies. We are part of a digitally enabled relationship bank, providing trusted strategic advice to our clients and supporting a fast-paced and exciting industry in the GTA market and beyond.

What will you do?

In this role, the successful candidate can expect to gain insight into the roles of Associate Account Manager and the Relationship Account Manager role through valuable project work and team interaction.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Pursuing your Master of Real Estate and Infrastructure (MREI) program or Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Client focus / client-first attitude;
• Willingness to develop commercial credit, financial statement analysis and core underwriting skills;
• Basic understanding of financial concepts and applications;
• Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel);
• Strong written and verbal communications skills;
• Inquisitive and quick to learn
• Comfort in a target-driven environment, with a knack for spotting opportunities;
• Motivated proactive thinker with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach;
• Eagerness to learn and succeed and comfort working in a team environment
• Regularly working collaboratively and in-person in an office environment

Nice-to-have

• Sales experience (ideal but not essential)
• Basic industry / market knowledge, and strong interest, in the commercial real estate sector
