Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Front Desk Supervisor & Golf Manager- the Front Desk Agent is responsible for all things related to Lodging and assisting in the Golf Shop. A successful front desk agent makes guests feel welcomed as soon as they walk through the doors. Being able to be cheerful is always important. A front desk agent must be personable, and above all professional in handling guests' issues and relating with them.

  • Greeting the guests and ensuring all service standards are followed.
  • Assisting guests with Check-in and check-out.
  • Assisting Golfers with check-in and tee times.
  • Maintaining the record of guests that have checked in and out.
  • Recommending and booking activities, restaurants, and transportation for guests.
  • Storing any luggage for guests.
  • Setting wake-up calls for the guests efficiently.
  • Taking reservations on the phone for hotel and cabin stays efficiently and professionally.
  • Arranging restaurant reservations for guests.
  • Responsible for handling guests' complaints or directing them to the supervisor, manager, or GM.
  • Handle golf guest tee time check-ins and incoming calls to make reservations, amendments, and cancellations for golf bookings.
  • Answer questions on golf and hotel rates, resort facilities, products, services, and special promotions.
  • Demonstrate golf shop retail product knowledge.
  • Responsible for balancing cash and credit receipts daily.
  • Participating in all Occupational Health and Safety standards set for the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Driver's license preferred.
  • Previous Front Desk or hotel experience is an asset.
  • Must enjoy giving a high level of customer service.
  • Must have experience working with computers and answering phones.
  • Must be able to lift 20lbs.
  • Must possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy levels.

Salary: $18- $20 per hour - Wages negotiable with experience.

Seasonal part time position available.
