We're looking for a Senior Credit Risk Reporting Analyst to join our Credit Risk team. The ideal candidate has a passion for data analytics and process improvement. They are comfortable digging into complex scenarios and developing robust recommendations based on their analysis. This role is a fantastic opportunity to help build out credit risk processes and procedures and have a meaningful impact at a Saskatchewan-born co-operative financial institution. The Senior Credit Risk Reporting Analyst will play a key role in enhancing strategies and managing Affinity's overall credit risk within our loan portfolio.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, conduct and contribute to  accurate and timely reporting for credit risk and evaluate alternative data methods and new solutions to optimize credit strategy.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on credit key risk indicators, effectively communicating risk assessment results to a variety of leadership levels.
  • Conduct research, risk analysis, and provide recommendations for procedure enhancements.
  • Enhance tools and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report risk.
  • Spearhead innovative strategies to detect, investigate, and mitigate diverse risk scenarios, ensuring proactive reporting to prevent potential credit risk losses.
  • Validate and maintain risk rating and underwriting models.

What you've got:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced knowledge in credit risk in consumer, agricultural, commercial and credit card lending
  • In-depth knowledge of risk oversight, as well as research and environmental trend scanning, and risk models
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience leading research to create and implement innovative processes
  • Working knowledge of risk models including Probability of Default and Loss Given Default
