The Opportunity
TC Energy is seeking a highly detailed-oriented and analytical paralegal to join our Supply Chain and Real Estate Legal team. The role is perfect for someone who thrives in providing excellent client service, solving problems, ensuring accuracy and delivering polished, professional work.
You will play a critical role in reviewing, drafting, organizing, and maintaining contracts, templates and precedents to ensure the Company's contracts are updated, accurate and compliant.
Applicants interested in this opportunity must have strong technical and organizational and an ability to work collaboratively with various levels of employees and leadership across the organization. You should also have experience (or a strong interest) in using AI to enhance document review; ability to craft effective prompts, evaluate outputs and apply human oversight.
What you'll do
- You will work both independently, and in a team setting, to fulfill specific responsibilities, which include:
- Manage the legal request inboxes for both the supply chain and real estate legal teams.
- Review and draft contracts with precision, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurate and complete.
- Identify gaps or missing elements in agreements and proactively resolve them.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and finalize documentation.
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support the legal team with research, analysis, review and administrative tasks as needed.
- Prepare quarterly reports on nature and volume of incoming supply chain and real estate legal work.
- Leverage AI tools and technology to streamline contract review and improve efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized paralegal program or equivalent experience in contract review
- Minimum of five years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for accuracy and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Share Point, Excel etc.
- Enthusiasm for learning new tools, technology, and AI-driven solutions.
- Experience or exposure to supply chain and/or real estate contracts.
