Intern, Crew Management Center (West)
This is a full-time summer internship that takes place from May 11, 2026 to August 28, 2026.
Job Summary
The Intern, Crew Management Center is responsible
for collaborating with the Western Operations CMC, Information and Technology (I&T), Systems Analyst,
and Senior Manager to improve the optimal performance of systems, reports, and information
through the enhancement of training material, dashboards and testing of new
applications. The role allows the selected individual to explore the many
dimensions of the specialized systems, learn and apply different business analysis
concepts, and use their computer skills to improve CN's programs.
Major Responsibilities
- Design Crew Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) dashboards in Power BI
- Catalogue and refine the library of crew reports
- Collaborate with the different program leads on the metrics for their programs and where the data is housed
- Collect the KPIs data for dashboarding and Power BI
- Prepare training material to support users in dashboard use and maintenance
- Participate in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to aid in project development, performance evaluation, and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal teams and clients
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork, sharing insights, and proposing innovative solutions to address challenges
- Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards throughout the internship
Requirements
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Looks for opportunities for continuous improvement and takes initiative
- Strong academic foundation with a genuine interest in sustainable solutions and supply chain management
- Proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to approach challenges creatively
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Initiative and eagerness to learn from industry professionals and contribute to projects
- Experience through internships or coursework related to the field*
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau*
- Knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP)
Education
- Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Information and Technology Management, Business Technology Management, or Supply Chain Management
*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
