Position Summary
The Distribution Hub Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse and distribution operations at the branch level. This role leads distribution and warehouse teams while ensuring alignment with Grimco's operational standards, safety expectations, cost controls, and customer experience goals.
Working in partnership with the Director of Operations, the Distribution Hub Manager drives operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, employee development, and cross-functional collaboration between operations and sales. This position plays a critical role in ensuring consistent execution, strong team performance, and a high standard of service from order fulfillment through delivery.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Efficiency
- Oversee dailydistributionhub operations including shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and order fulfillment.
- Prioritize shipping and receiving activities to ensure on-time andaccuratedeliveries.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize fulfillment accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Monitor workflow across the facility tomaintainproductivity and meet performance expectations.
Inventory Management & Warehouse Standards
- Ensure effective inventory control, placement, and accuracy aligned with sales volume and delivery performance.
- Maintainhigh standardsof warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Monitor inventory adjustments, transfers, and storage practices to support customer expectations and operational efficiency.
- Ensureappropriate racking, equipment, and spaceutilizationfor safe storage and transport of materials.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and manage distribution hub staff, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, reviews, and timecard oversight.
- Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback to ensure accountability and engagement.
- Motivate by example through hands-on leadership and collaboration with warehouse employees.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Training & Employee Development
- Support employee training and development to build operational knowledge and leadership capability.
- Identifyand develop future leaders within the operations team.
- Encourageidea-sharingand innovation to improve processes and team effectiveness.
Expense & Resource Management
- Manage branch-level operational expenses in partnership with the Director of Operations, including freight-out, supplies, and distribution-related costs.
- Identifyopportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses whilemaintainingproductivity and service levels.
- Determinecost-effective shipping methods while ensuring orders are shipped and received according to Grimco standards.
Fleet, Equipment & Facility Oversight
- Overseedistributionhub equipment, racking, and facility condition to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Support fleet operations, including coordination around maintenance, repairs, fuel usage, and overall readiness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to established safety standards.
- Improve safety awareness and knowledge across the distribution hub team.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with Grimco policies and regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Communication & Customer Experience
- Ensure clear and effective communication between distribution operations and sales teams.
- Support a seamless customer experience from order processing through delivery and invoicing.
- Collaborate with leadership to align branch operations with Grimco's broader operational vision and priorities.
Strategic Alignment & Role Modeling
- Partner with the Director of Operations to support strategic initiatives and operational alignment.
- Lead with integrity while modeling Grimco's values, priorities, and performance expectations.
- Contribute insights to support standardized operating practices and long-term operational improvements.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in warehouse, distribution, orlogisticsoperations.
- Proven experience managing warehouse or distribution teams (15+ employees preferred).
- Strong operationalleadership withexperience driving efficiency and performance.
- Working knowledge of warehouse systems, inventory management, shipping processes, and operational reporting tools.
- Experience managing expenses, vendors, and operational resources.
- Ability to lead through influence, accountability, and collaboration.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
- High emotional intelligence, reliability, and professionalism.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, delegation, and time management abilities.
